Bantams Plumbing Co. was established in 1954 and was the primary plumbing service contractor in Mechanicsville, Virginia for years and held a large market share in the Greater Richmond area. During it’s second generation of family ownership, Mr. Allen sold the company to Bantam’s Plumbing Company Inc in 2014, another second generation plumbing company specializing in commercial and new construction plumbing services. Herman Allen Plumbing, Heating & Cooling continues today to be the service company that it always has been and has grown to keep up with market demand. Shortly after the company’s acquisition, cooling and AC services were added to the existing plumbing and heating services, and an alliance was created with Lennox in which Bantams Plumbing Co. became a PREMIER DEALER after extensive training and reviews by Lennox. Today we have a team of over 30 employees with more than 20 trucks on the road to service your plumbing, heating and cooling needs, wants and emergencies 24 hours a day. Our employees go through continuing training to become NATE certified, and work towards their tradesman and master licensees, in addition to specific product training. The majority of our team has been with the company in excess of 5 years, with many in excess of 10 or more!
